I wish if I could be anything, that I could be like music. Even if you listen to it online, or see a video, it's not the same thing as seeing it in person, having it shake the floor underneath you. Even if you don't like it at first, the second time or third, maybe you can identify with it. Music just wants to provide a soundtrack to your life, give voice to your feelings, make you feel things.

Vivian, Alyssa, and me..

On the way to the airport right now to pick up one of my oldest and dearest friends, Vivian, who is coming to stay with me this weekend.
Last night was the play 'Silencing Ning' opening night, and as 'Ning' I thought it went well! It'll be showing till March 14th.

It was a long day, but we got to eat in the Fort Hamilton Military Base Fortress. It was so nice inside, and I felt really special thinking we might be some of the few people allowed inside who weren't in the Army, although we were in uniform.

I sometimes think my life is like right now, staring down the proverbial subway tunnel, waiting for the light of an oncoming train. Late at night I spend what feels like forever, or at least very long, waiting. And there are false lights from other trains or construction that get my hopes up, but really they aren't what I'm waiting for. When is the train going to come! I'm so tired of waiting at 1:30 in the morning for a ride that might never come.
