I was reading through the New York Moleskin cityblog and I really liked this entry...
"I got on the train this morning and... I did something that can only be done shamelessly in a large city – I stared at people.
...I saw someone who I recognized…huge red beard, glasses and a newsboy cap. I quickly looked away, closed my eyes and began to search my brain to figure out who this person was and how I knew them. Then I placed him. We used to live in the same building two years ago. For over two years, I would regularly see him living his everyday life and we always said hello and exchanged small talk. The strange thing is, I know that he lives with his girlfriend, drives an old maroon Volvo and has a Shiba Inu dog that is blind, but at that moment, on the train I didn’t feel like I had to say hi. I adverted my eyes from his general area and didn’t feel bad about not saying hello. This is one of the things I love and hate about large city living. There is a redeeming quality about large city living in that you can be a complete prick and no one will ever really remember you, but I do miss that smaller town quality where everyone says hello and remembers your face."

This week, I went to a Knicks game, and was lucky enough to attend the MTV Woodie Awards as well, with my intern supervisors.
It's getting colder outside... and always raining lately.
I like re-listening to John mayer songs.. reminds me of high school...
"Here comes the cold
Break out the winter clothes
And find a love to call your own
You - enter you
Your cheeks a shade of pink
And the rest of you in powder blue
Who knows what will be
But I'll make you this guarantee
No way November will see our goodbye
When it comes to December it's obvious why
No one wants to be alone at Christmas time "

CELL PHONE PICS POST (pictures of my life this past week)
I voted for the first time on tuesday! Obama is now our president! My intern supervisor made these obama cupcakes to celebrate.
That second film I was in, let me play around on the beach with this outfit on, at 7 AM on a saturday, in the frigid wind. It was so cold, like 20 degrees.
Jacob Riis Beach at 7 AM
This was a couple weekends ago, but I helped out at New York Cares Day, and painted this mural at a public school way uptown.

Relationshipwise.. update.. I find that I'm very lucky to have people around me who love me so much, that I feel I sometimes don't deserve it.
Took a lot of beautiful photos today. I am getting tired of things that aren't necessary, like how classes feel sometimes, and interning even.
I want to spend thanksgiving with Katy in jersey! (in less than a month)
I love my family..

I realize that I'm so busy lately that I have lost two pairs of headphone in a week and don't have the time to buy new ones. Like, literally, not 15 minutes to spare to go to a drugstore and get some.
However, I like feeling this busy. A lot of the time, I like life to feel like I'm being thrown through the air hurtling towards something in the distance, and I'm not tired, but excited.
Working on a second short film now. Still working at school, interning, and staying on top of the classes.
Relationshipwise, I'm finding it interesting how things are developing. In a good way.

oh my gosh I love Amanda and Adolfo!! They are so amazing, the nicest people ever.
Amanda sent me some photos she took on the movie set that I thought were absolutely beautiful....
Other than that, classes are going well, interning, and working at school as well. I have been making a point to always focus on the tasks I have at hand, when they come around, and to keep pushing myself to try new things, and to do things that I like.

wow, I can't believe I haven't updated this since May.
This summer:
Went home for a bit.
I interned at the NY Historical Society, and GaRam and I helped out at Discovery Camp (where Emily had her first camp experience) in Houston. Oh, and I ran Student Orientation at the end of the summer with Elisa, and started class.
This fall:
I've been interning at an indie music label, and working at school as the New School Graphic Designer (the orientation coordinator job just kind of turned into that once Orientation ended).
I costarred in an indie movie. and...
also...

It should say: “Best Wishes Suzanne.” Underneath that: “We will miss you”.

Recap of Spring break
GaRam and I went to Houston on Saturday, March 15th, landing early in the evening. My family took us out to eat at Pho 21, and then GaRam, Oliver, and I went shopping. We gave Oliver some advice (that looking back now, made sense, but damn.. who'd have thought it would all turn out that way). and then went home. After unpacking, we hung out with Emily for a while and then went to sleep.
On Sunday, we woke up early and went to CLCC for church, and met Vivian for lunch at Taco Cabana. Then we went to Chinatown with Mommy and Daddy and Emily and bought groceries. I think my dad liked GaRam, even bought him some kimchi. After shopping, we went to eat at a korean restaurant where the waitress talked on the phone in korean the whole time. GaRam and Emily played Audition together and then we went to sleep.
Monday we drove Oliver to and from work, and then GaRam and I went on a picnic on the Golf Course! It was really nice. When we got home, my mom took us to the Space Center where we took a tram tour around NASA. Afterwards, Emily, GaRam and I went to the Dollar Theater and watched Enchanted.
Tuesday, we went to Rice and hung out with Vivian for a bit, then went to the MFA Houston. We got home that night and our family went to dinner at Taco Cabana, and Oliver and Garam and I watched the Descent.
Wednesday, left Houston to go to Virginia to see GaRams parents. Got in Wednesday evening and had korean food all together. Thursday, GaRam and I went to the Great Falls Park (near the Potomac River) and had a nice coffee at Starbucks the next evening, on Friday we helped out at the store, and went to LuRay Caverns on Saturday (our 6 month!). His mom gave me the prettiest earrings and necklace.
That was my Spring Break! lol. It was really busy, stressful, and great. I loved seeing my family, and spending time with GaRam.
Mommy, i thought you might like these photos of us I found. All the rest can probably be found on facebook.. :P

Let's see, I came back to New York this Saturday. I miss home, but yay for Skype, till I come back for Spring break.
Ga ram picked me up from the airport and we were very happy but i think a little in shock at first. Three weeks doesnt seem like that long, but I think it was for us. We unpacked (he liked the dried fruit, mommy), and cleaned up the apartment a little. He invited me to his church sunday, and it was really nice.
Monday I started interning again. Looked at footage all day.. Garam picked me up and met my intern boss. (Tuesday) I'm here again today! Digitizing stuff.
Ooh, I start working today! My CD teacher is paying me to do some freelance video editing stuff. I was so excited yesterday when it was worked out.. :D Also my intern boss invited me and ga ram to a gallery opening tonight, so it should be a pretty busy day.
For the rest of the week I will be video editing, interning, spending time with ga ram, and working at school on thursday and friday (Parsons new student spring orientation)

After not writing for a long time.. i'm back!
It's been a while since I was in the mood to think my life was something i'd want to remember.
Cheng and I broke up at the end of August, right after I'd finished my summer art course, and moved into my new apartment with tiffany and kitty.
After 11 months together, I was really heartbroken for a while, but eventually managed to do some good things for myself. I thought I was in love for the first time, regret a lot of the decisions I made... yea. I still miss him sometimes, but it's over.
Other than that, this semester, I brought my grades up, finished a pretty sweet internship at Cosmopolitan Magazine, and met my other half, Garam.
It's my last week at home for christmas break and I am enjoying myself a lot. i think I was really meant (in life) to sleep in all day, eat a lot, and hang out.
